Our Mini Camp is in it's final week and our little campers are having oodles of fun. They've had a busy week working on pottery projects, baking, photography, arts & crafts, gardening, yoga and today they're off on a nature walk.

Mini camp is just a glimps of what we have to offer at our "Everything Under the Sun" Summer Camp. Sessions are filling up fast as this is going to be our best year ever. We have a lot of really cool things in store for your campers - cooking classes at Paradiso, Plant & Flower design from Convalleria, Creature Quest, Pottery, Music, Drama, Fine Arts and more. Mini Camp

School is out! Camp is in! Join us for Lollipop Art Lounge's Mini Camp to get a jump start on summer fun. Mini Camp runs daily from June 15th - June 26th from 1 - 5 pm for ages 5+.

Our Mini Camp is jam packed with fun and excitement. Along with our fabulous fine art activites, we've added pottery, cooking, gardening, outdoor fun and more. You won't want to miss out on our "Kick Off' to Summer" Mini Camp.

Register now for 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 days/week or 3 days/week.

Session 1 - June 15 - 19 $225/week
Session 2 - June 22 - 26 $225/week

Can't make Mini Camp, don't fret we're also ready to go for the entire summer. Register now for "Everything Under the Sun" Summer Camp which incorporates all things "Fun" for ages 3 - 12. Kids will partake in fine arts, drama, music, gardening, cooking, pottery and more. Sessions start July 6th through August 28th.

Cool Children's Music

Our retail section now carries CDs for both child and parent. The 'Rockabye Baby' collection has taken classic music by Bob Marley, The Eagles, Green Day, Nirvana (and more) and transformed them into mellow music designed to calm and relax children before bed. If you are looking for more lively music choices there is like Putumayo Kids and Harry Connick Jr., the perfect gift or addition to your own music library!

Yummy Treats

If you want to make some tasty treats there are a few items you should know about! Along side these featured items, we also carry yummy little lollipops and a variety of cookies.

This 'Spa Princess Cookbook' is full of deliciously sweet ideas to complete any at home spa! It includes a selection of recipes for drinks and finger foods as well as some spa treatments like 'Pink Lemonade Lip Shimmer' and 'Confetti Bath Salts'. Every princess can enjoy creating their very own spa.

Monsters

The Artists top to bottom are Thea (teacher's example) Timothy, Thomas, Addie and Nadine.

These little monsters were created by the 3-5 year old Clanmore class! They were first created with crumpled recycled paper and then covered in plaster strips. These were then painted and decorated with eyes, hair and jewels.

BlaBla has arrived!

Check out blabla! These small to mid sized dolls and backpacks are our newest arrivals at Lollipop! All of these dolls are fair trade made by Peruvian artists and designed by Florence Wetterwald. Incredibly soft and huggable with quirky details that truly make them a treasure for any child or child at heart!

5-7 Fine Arts

The Artists from top to bottom are, Meghan, Nakita and Rocco.

Last Wednesday our fine art class completed their Dioramas; these three dimensional art works are inspired by Emily Carr's landscapes. The students explored basic perspective by using foreground, middle ground and background to create an environment. They also learned about the colour wheel and how to mix the colours they want on their own!

Next Week we will be beginning our Donatello inspired 'Character Sculpture' in clay.

"Everything Under the Sun" summer camp is exactly that! From fine art, drama, gardening and cooking, the kids will partake in a complete camp experience. Every day the campers will learn new skills and have hours of fun in a safe and secure environment. Outdoor excursions and special guests will ensure there will never be a dull moment.

New Location

Lollipop's NEW location is at 126 Trafalgar Road on the lower level. This move reflects a change in focus from children's based retail to a more functional studio with a smaller retail boutique. Our retail boutique features unique & creative products for the young and young at heart.

Our new location also features a Garden where both our JR. and SR. Garden Clubs will take place. Hidden from the street level, yet full of light and flowers this is a most welcome addition to our studio and retail space.
